TransCanada Annual Meeting of Shareholders and First Quarter 2008 Teleconference and Webcast Advisory
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 15, 2008) - TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders beginning at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain)/12:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Friday, April 25, 2008. The meeting will take place at the Roundup Centre in Calgary, Alberta.

TransCanada Corporation will release its first quarter 2008 financial results on the morning of Friday, April 25, 2008.
