At TransCanada we concentrate our efforts in three focus areas:
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of the communities near our operations.
We fund initiatives that enable emergency personnel to respond quickly and effectively to local needs and focus on emergency preparedness, accident prevention and education and training.
Examples of our key safety partnerships include:

|Progressive Agriculture Safety Day — TransCanada has partnered with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation to deliver the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program which provides education and training to make farm, ranch and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities.|
|Alberta Fire Chiefs Association (AFCA) — The need for volunteer firefighters in Alberta is critical. TransCanada is proud to partner with AFCA to support its outreach campaign aimed at recruiting and retaining volunteer firefighters across Alberta.
